Welcome to our humble Nursery
We're the Hayden Garden Nerds - a family of passionate growers turning lawns into lush ecosystems, one plant at a time. From herbs to flowers, pollinators to birdies, perennials to edibles, everything we grow is rooted in love, living soil, compost, and a little bit of garden geekery.
Whether you're a first-time gardener or an edible jungle enthusiast, we’re here to help you grow beauty, medicine, and abundance right where you are.
Our mission is simple: spread kindness and fertility. Through plants, through conversation, through community.

Sponsor a garden - Spread the Love
We created our nursery so we could regreen our community. All proceeds allow us to plant a plenty.
But you can help even more! We'd love to harvest a few plants from your garden (those that multiply easily) or you can donate plants to spread kindness and fertility.
Some places desperately need more life. More flowers. More shade. More bees.
You can sponsor plants for these spaces. Whether it’s a neglected roadside, a community patch, or a neighbor in need, we’ll go plant them for free. Or even better, come with us and let's plant together!
It’s our way to give back and to spread more kindness. A movement that creates ripples of generosity.
🌎 Let’s garden the world.
For each plant you sponsor, we match your gift! and we will plant them in the right place, free of charge.
For instance: At the public library, the Boys and Girls club, the local retirement home, the kindergarten, the pig farm....
Want to visit us?
Shoot us a message to schedule a stop at our little nursery in Hayden. You’ll leave with a few plants, some good dirt under your nails, and at least one unsolicited garden tip.
Let’s grow the change we want to see. ✌️

Turn Waste into Gold… with Wormies! 🪱✨
At Garden Nerds of Hayden, we believe that the best fertilizer doesn’t come from a bottle — it comes from your kitchen scraps, transformed by a happy colony of red wigglers! Lombricomposting (aka worm composting) is one of the simplest and most magical ways to reduce waste and enrich your soil.
These little wriggly workers turn your fruit peels, coffee grounds, and veggie scraps into rich, dark compost full of nutrients and beneficial microbes.
We’d love to help you set up your first worm bin, adopt your starter wormies, and teach you how to keep them thriving. It's fun, mess-free, and kid-approved.
Let’s turn your leftovers into lush harvests, one banana peel at a time! 🌱
